It is a requirement of your course to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). Your ILP is a planned approach of learning for you to set personal targets (SMART) and record achievements. It helps you identify all your learning and support needs in relation to the type and length of this programme.
Completing your ILP will assist you to take ownership of your future and support you in your distance learning, by reminding you what you have learned, achieved and enjoyed.
We have attached your ILP template for you to begin completing.
This qualification includes all of the following units:
- Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment - This covers the theory of assessing only
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment - this is aimed at those who carry out work based assessments - either using National Occupational Standards, Nationally recognised standards or a companies' own standards
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement - this is aimed at those who may assess outside of the workplace i.e. the classroom or workshop and as such is ideally suited for those assessing a range of activities - or those whose circumstances may change, it has great longevity.
This award is approved by the MOD in support of the ELC scheme.

This is a theory unit of the principles of the IQA role and suitable for all learners undertaking the IQA role, as well as those requiring a knowledge only approach to the role.
Unit 402 - Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment
This unit concerns Internally Quality Assuring work completed by your assessors, to ensure that relevant standards have been reached and that certification can be awarded. This unit is suitable for all learners who will be responsible for the sampling and monitoring of work presented to the centre for accreditation.
